Robert A. Foster, MD, is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon with fellowship training in hand surgery. Dr. Foster specializes in minimally invasive carpal tunnel surgery, complex hand reconstruction surgery, sports injuries, joint replacement, and orthopedic trauma treatment.
Dr. Foster is passionate about his work, and with a background in biomedical engineering, he brings a highly technical and intuitive approach to hand surgery. With all the intricacies of nerves, arteries, tendons, and more in the hand, it’s no wonder he enjoys the most complicated of all orthopedic specialties.

Meet Robert Wright, PA-C
Physician Assistant for Dr. Robert Foster
Robert “Rob” Wright, PA-C, is a board-certified physician assistant who has been working alongside Dr. Robert Foster since October 2000. Rob received his bachelor of science degree in physician assistant studies from the University of Texas Galveston. He received his master of medical science degree from the University of Nebraska. Before joining Texas Orthopedics, Rob practiced as a physician assistant in plastic, reconstructive, and hand surgery in Dallas. He is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants.
Rob is married and the proud father of two children. He enjoys scuba diving, snow skiing, and spending time with his family in his free time.
