Dr. Kris Stockton is a board certified orthopaedic surgeon practicing in Austin and Round Rock. He completed additional fellowship training in foot and ankle surgery and now specializes specifically in treating foot and ankle issues.

Dr. Kris Stockton grew up in the Houston area. He attended undergrad at the University of Texas at Austin and graduated with Honors with a degree in Biology. He was a 4 year starter for the Longhorns Football team during that time.
After an untimely injury while pursuing his NFL dreams after college while with the New Orleans Saints, Dr. Stockton then attended and received his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical School at Houston. During Medical School he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society.
Dr. Stockton completed both his Internship and Orthopaedic Surgery Residency at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. He then completed his Fellowship in foot and ankle surgery in Dallas at Baylor Medical Center. During his fellowship he gained expertise in the treatment of the entire foot and ankle, including forefoot reconstruction, foot and ankle trauma, ankle arthroscopy, complex post-traumatic and degenerative arthritis, congenital and neurological deformities, pediatric flatfoot, acute and degenerative tendon pathology, and sports injuries in athletes.
He is a member of the American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society, American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons , and a member of the Texas Medical Association and Travis County Medical Society.
Dr. Stockton is an active member of the teaching faculty of Dell Medical School’s Orthopaedic Surgery Residency Program where he is working to advance the field of musculoskeletal care and training in the next generation of physicians and surgeons.
When Dr. Stockton is not spending time with his wife and three daughters, he enjoys working out, fishing, and carpentry.
Dr. Stockton was voted by his peers to the Texas Super Doctors Rising Stars list in 2019, 2020 and 2021 and as a Texas Monthly Super Doctor in 2022. Most recently, Dr. Stockton was recognized by his peers as an Austin Monthly Top Doctor in 2021 through 2023.

Meet Travis McKellar, DPM
Podiatrist on Dr. Stockton’s team
Travis McKellar, DPM is a Doctor of Podiatric Medicine with Texas Orthopedics. Dr. McKellar is currently seeing patients at our Central Austin (Midtown) and Round Rock locations.
Dr. McKellar completed his medical degree at the Kent State University School of Podiatric Medicine where he was on the Dean’s List and was awarded an academic scholarship. His podiatric surgical residency was completed at the Baylor Scott & White/Texas A&M Science Center. During residency, he received extensive training in elective forefoot and rear-foot reconstructive surgery, diabetic limb salvage, wound care, pediatric deformities and injuries, as well as foot and ankle trauma.
Dr. McKellar is a member of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, the American Podiatric Medical Association, and the Texas Podiatric Medical Association.
When not seeing patients, he spends time in the outdoors, playing basketball, golf and running. He also enjoys mountain biking with his wife and three children.
