Texas Orthopedics Sports & Rehabilitation Associates, a division of OrthoLoneStar, is proud to announce that Dr. Randall Schultz, Orthopedic surgeon, has been named Physician of the Year by Ascension Seton Northwest Hospital located in Austin, Texas. Dr. Schultz received this honor at a ceremony hosted by Ascension on January 8, 2026.
Dr. Randall Schultz is a board-certified, fellowship-trained Orthopedic Surgeon at Texas Orthopedics, specializing in adult joint reconstruction of the knee and hip. His clinical focus includes computer-navigated knee replacement and direct anterior hip replacement. He has been with the practice since 2004.
In addition to his busy practice, he has published many scientific papers and authored book chapters in the fields of sports medicine and joint replacement surgery. He is board-certified by the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, a member of the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine, and has served for several years as an affiliate faculty member in the Joint Replacement Training Program at The University of Texas Dell Medical School.
He is also followed by thousands of subscribers as an educator on his YouTube channel, The Surgeon Unmasked, where he’s committed to teaching others about what to expect before, during and after joint replacement surgery. He shares his knowledge as both a trained surgeon, and a joint replacement patient.
