Benjamin A. McArthur, MD

Dr. McArthur specializes in complex hip and knee replacement surgeries, including revisions of prior replacement surgeries, and hip preservation surgery, especially in young patients.

He completed his orthopaedic residency at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City where he excelled in clinical practice and academic research and was awarded multiple research grants as well as the prestigious Lewis Clarke Wagner Resident Research Award. He went on to complete a fellowship in Adult Lower Extremity Reconstruction at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota.

Dr. McArthur has published numerous peer reviewed articles and has presented both nationally and internationally on topics related to hip and knee replacement. He is a reviewer of current research for the Bone and Joint Journal, the Journal of Arthroplasty, and the American Journal of Orthopedics, for which he serves on the Editorial Review Board. His areas of interest include young adult hip and hip preservation as well as computer assisted surgical techniques.



Dr. McArthur is an active member of the teaching faculty of Dell Medical School's Orthopaedic Surgery Residency Program where he is working to advance the field of musculoskeletal care and training the next generation of physicians and surgeons. To learn more, please click here.
