Robert A. Foster, MD is a Board Certified Orthopedic Surgeon and a Fellowship Trained Hand Surgeon. Dr. Foster specializes in minimally invasive carpal tunnel surgery, complex hand reconstruction surgery, sports injuries, total joint replacement, and orthopedic trauma treatment. Dr. Foster is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
Dr. Foster graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biomedical Engineering. He received his Medical Degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. Dr. Foster completed his Orthopedic Surgery Residency at Oregon Health Sciences University. He performed a Fellowship in Hand and Microvascular Surgery at the University of Minnesota.
Dr. Foster is a member of all area hospital staffs, the Texas Orthopaedic Association, and the Texas Society of Sports Medicine. Dr. Foster has been named by his peers to the Super Doctors® list in 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011.
Dr. Foster is married with four children. He enjoys playing golf, scuba diving, tennis, keeping a reef aquarium, and coaching his children's sports teams. Dr. Foster enjoys watching Longhorn sporting events in his free time.

Robert "Rob" Wright, PA-C has been Dr. Robert Foster's Physician Assistant since October 2000. Rob received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Physician Assistant Studies from University of Texas Galveston. He received his Master's in Medical Science from the University of Nebraska.
Before joining Texas Orthopedics, Rob practiced as a Physician Assistant in plastic, reconstructive and hand surgery in Dallas. He is a member of American Academy of Physician Assistants and is a Board Certified Physician Assistant. Rob is married and the proud father of two children. He enjoys scuba diving, snow skiing, and spending time with his family in his free time.
