Michael D. Loeb, MD is a Board Certified Orthopedic Surgeon. Dr. Loeb is Fellowship Trained in Shoulder and Elbow Surgery, and he specializes in arthroscopy and joint replacement surgery. He has a special interest in sports injury, as well as advanced joint reconstruction of the upper extremity.
Dr. Loeb, a native of New Orleans, graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Arts in Zoology. He attended the Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center at New Orleans where he received the Seese-Voors Scholarship for Academic Achievement. He was an elected member of Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society, an honor given to those students graduating in the top ten percent of their class.
Dr. Loeb completed his Orthopedic Surgery Residency at the University of Tennessee-Campbell Clinic and received his fellowship training under Professor Christian Gerber, a recognized world authority on surgery of the shoulder. Dr. Loeb served as a visiting clinician at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota where he trained to manage complex elbow disorders.
Dr. Loeb is the official team physician for Westwood High School and Concordia University.
