J. Clark Race, MD is a Board Certified Orthopedic Surgeon. Dr. Race received his medical degree from the University of Texas at Galveston and completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at the University of Texas Health Science Center in Dallas, Texas. He is a member of the American Medical Association, American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society, Travis County Medical Society and the American Acedemy of Orthopedic Surgery.
Dr. Race has been named as one of America's Top Orthopedists in 2010 by Consumer's Research Council of America as well as one of The Leading Physicians of the World by the International Association of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
Dr. Race has a special interest and experience in treating foot and ankle conditions. He has practiced orthopedics in Austin for over 25 years and has expertise in treatment of numerous orthopedic problems including sports injuries, joint replacement, traumatic injuries, reconstructive surgery, fractures and common problems of the shoulders, elbows, hands, hips, knees, and ankle and foot.
In his spare time, Dr. Race enjoys being with his large extended family in Austin. His hobbies include fishing, gardening, archery and photography. He also volunteers his orthopedic expertise to the people of Honduras frequently through Honduras Outreach International.
